In November of 1975, believers from the city of Knoxville, Iowa met by faith for the first time at the Woman’s Club Building and on December 23, 1975, Faith Baptist Church was incorporated.

On March 3, 1976 the church called its first pastor, Don Johnston Jr and soon broke ground on a church building.

The new building was dedicated on November 21, 1976 and in June of 1977 the church joined the fellowship of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches.

In 1986 the church purchased a new parsonage and called Melvin Mattox as pastor.

A new addition for the church was completed and dedicated in December of 2017 after several years of planning and hard work.

The worldwide pandemic of 2020 was a challenge, but the church came through it and is flourishing again by the grace of God.

Current pastor, John Iaffaldano has set a goal to remain faithful to God in the coming years, calling to mind Philippians 4:1, “Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.”
